Angel’s grace
ANGEL'S GRACE
Playful bundle of joy,
cooing happiness,
squirming in delight
raises her hand to play,
with the shadow, over her crib,
soft cloudy wings extended,
a warm smile, sparkling eyes,
arms is lowered in return.
Tearful bundle of sadness,
screaming his upset,
wailing and thrashing about,
desperation in his shout,
over his cradle, wings of oceans blue,
arms reach out to embrace,
cuddle him close, a song
rings out, wails cease.
Laying sweetly in her bed,
bored to tears, cause sent to bed,
a little girls stares out above her bed,
seeing a gentle smile,
wings of glistening gray,
a story is slowly unfolded, smile with pure joy,
a gentle chastisement on actions of early,
enfolded in wings of care.
Outside in the sand he plays, lonely
afraid, rejected by the others,
a family torn apart, a negligent mom,
absent father, he stares at the sky above,
wings of purest gold embrace him holding him tight,
love sent forth, returned,
a friend he had forgotten, playing with him sweetly,
spending time to make him happy.
Angels forgotten, return when needed,
a baby born, celebration, Angels sing,
guarding the little innocent until unneeded,
when the times come Angels forgotten return.
Angel's grace is in the little ones, abandoned or not,
they sit, watch, protect as best they can, loving as can be,
pained over hurts they cannot stop, inflamed over deaths,
love the only gift they can give, is returned tenfold.
Deaths, they can't stop, but heaven they can give,
once a innocent reaches the doors, arms are opened wide .
Emotional scars they can't fix, they can't what family,
a child is born unto, but they can unite that child, with
those that can and will love unconditionally, grown or not.
An Angel's job is never done, though forgotten they may be,
a child who once saw them so easily, now grown, sees no more,
but Angels still stand by guarding, to return when needed again.
