Daddy's Little Girl
Angela Crabtree 1982 (maine)
Daddy's Little Girl
I never knew what it was like to be a daddy's girl, ‘cause once a long time ago he gave me up. He turned me over to a new dad like yesterday's garbage. I still try to talk to him but everyone says it's not worth my time. I wonder what it's like to be daddy's little girl. Fixing up cars and playing sports, I guess I'll never know. My dad got married to someone with a boy, I wish it was me, (daddy's little girl). I'm growing up now, getting ready to move on. I wish he was here to see me graduate from the 8th grade. It was hard for me to learn about new dads. I called them both dad even though one gave me up. What was I to do? (Daddy's little girl). Will daddy see me graduate high school or maybe even see me off to college? No, probably not, but daddy two will. He has seen every school play and every band concert. What ever happened to just being daddy one's little girl?
