Dear Lord
Dear Lord why are you so cruel,
Creating men in your own likeness and placing us on earth,
Watching us cheating one another from your eternal abode,
And leaving us hoping we would change.
Dear Lord why are you so cruel,
Creating men in different skin colours,
Watching us discriminate one another,
And leaving us hoping tomorrow will be better.
Dear Lord why are you so cruel,
Creating men to look after the animals,
Watching us kill the animals and the animals hurting us,
And leaving us hoping the next sunrise will bring a change.
Dear Lord why are you so cruel,
Watching us make the mistakes of our lives,
Going to our death unknowingly,
And leaving us knowing there is no more hope.
