Pain's Management
This life's goals that drive you across pain's face
are manageable with generous care,
youth and fine bounds leapt we can not replace,
but there is hope in the eyes of despair.
Take a breath with a smile and open love,
perception's approached differently now,
give depression's insomnia a shove,
fashion a cool grin; pin it on a vow:
To be strong in the moments of dark pain,
to use gentle therapeutic technique,
there'll be a high power you can't explain
that will lift the battered spirit; unique.
Traditional nursing, psychosocial
interventions certainly won't baffle.
To promote your comfort we will shine bright,
we'll modify moods with analgesics,
help you walk tall inside the warm daylight,
have you writing sonnets and limericks:
poetry in devotion shall ease sighs,
pen to paper scenery in laughter;
always the best medicine in our eyes,
it will strengthen the author's frail armour.
Neurological soft sensations roam
psychology's coloured normality!
Our sweet home is forever your sweet home
for as long as you desire it to be.
The future is now yours to dance along,
skip down its fast lanes with a wondrous song.
