Paradise Slice

Pondering on the wondering mile
on daylight's monstrous end
altering night time's galactic glide
the far-side banks of forever
never in a day
yesterday has been all the while
deluded are the impressions
binding processes to the mind
voices yelling on the edge of dreams
fate cycling with the wind
who knows where it will be placed
when the wind dies down?
when the children sing acappella
and the birds look up in admiration
falling from their nests
forgetting how to spread their wings
remembering how to fly to the ground
vanity out weighing humility
adhering to Newton's Law in the end
it all goes wrong when the trumpets sound
