Pirates-Keep to the Code!!

I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, aye, you've heard of me
And the Black Pearl is my ship in the Caribbean Sea
Just a well known pirate with simple questions for you
Can you write a poem, sailor, and want to join my crew?

Hoist the sails, weigh the anchor and do come aboard
The Jolly Roger is waving, have you brought your sword?
A challenge to all poets, a debt to Davey Jones is owed
Creativity and imagination, savvy, the Pirate's Code!

The pirates, who fall behind, are left behind; thar she blows
Ho ho ho and a bottle of rum, let's see what you compose...
I was told there'd be a moment to do the right thing, why?
I love these moments, I like to wave at them as I pass by...

Linda D. Blakely

I was born in West Virginia and raised in Kentucky. I've been writing poetry since high school and have been in many poetry circles on the internet. I am known in these circles as the "legendarylinda". I have won contests, received medals and many other merits for my poetry. I would love to travel and see the world. My hero is Jesus Christ. I wish to dedicate this book to my parents and all my friends everywhere in the world. ~Peace Legendary Linda more…
