Riverine Tales
The river still flows down the shores of Valhalla
With twisted pines and mulberry leaves along the shore
Of ravaged sands of time chiming the frozen minutes
The river still has a story to tell
The river does not know the passage of time
As the time here has not eclipsed the past
Of brave men and fair maidens and a fairer world
The river still whispers the glory names
The river does not need the trumpets of life
As the heartbeat of yore is in its tides
Of fallen ashes and revival of souls
The river knows the eternal core
The river has curved a thousand bends
With sways of nature and spirit of flame
Of morphed greed and colored eyes
The river has seen the ebbs and highs
The river still flows down the shores of Valhalla
Oblivious in its holy sail
Of moments of truth and surfs of life
The river still has a story to tell.
