Totally Free

Tattered and scathed
I can't help but feel betrayed
Life on the line every day
Might as well be dead
Then concave
Searching for dreams
That doesn't exist
Feeling the daily furry
I must admit
As the government
Extracts my very being
Wool over my eyes
Stops me from seeing
The seriousness of
Poverty, neglect, and instability
Well past servility
When will we be truly free
Probably when our souls
Leave our bodies
And roam freely
Through the heavens
Totally free
