Under A Spell

Upon the bosom of dire despair,
I suckled like the errant demon.
At your window I pined unaware,
at sight of me your heart blackens.

Upon dark loins of deepest craving,
I knawed like a satyr unbecoming.
At your door I bang poorly behaving,
in fear, the police your summoning.

Upon my conscience light dawning,
I writhe in agony, a feeble revelation.
Calm myself in retrospective yawning,
seeing the futility of my exasperation.

Upon the reckoning of sounder reason,
loathe myself for falling under a spell.
To witches as you, love is a treason,
how long before this potion will quell?

Upon the warlock's scroll, sign name,
this necronomicon of scandal prize.
A grand levelling of play in this game,
now you'll pick on someone your size!

Tracy Bollinger

Always liked to write and have written poems periodically over the years. I've never shared them withanyone except for immediate family. Decided to take the plunge and put some out 'there'. But bearwith me, I don't really know what I'm doing. This is therapy of sorts and I hope to let go of the need to rhyme. It's a mental condition. I recently found out my grandmother used to rhyme all herletters to anyone. Go figure. I hope you all enjoy my ranting! I do like what I've seen other's post. more…
