What Happens to the Blue-Eyed Angel?
She was smart.
Witty. Clever.
She grew up spoiled
but knew what it was
to want.
Need.
Be without.
She was trained by her
meticulous Mother.
Made Stronger by a
Father
that unintentionally
abandoned her.
She grew up faster
than the kids around her,
and she became the outcast.
Trouble keeping friends,
trouble understanding her peers,
left used.
Taken advantage of
for kindness.
For advice.
Maternal instincts
passed down by a
precise yet liberal Mother
that she had hopes to become.
Sexually abused when hardly
a teenager.
By a stranger.
All too trusting.
Desperate to be loved
when there was love surrounding her.
Destroyed by this man
old enough to be
her father.
Boyfriends that lasted just weeks.
Just like friendships.
People just disappeared.
No reason,
No explanation.
She realized early just why
her Mother
taught her
Independence.
Now the financial backbone
of a ten year
relationship.
Off and on relationship,
but always the supporting spine.
Mother for five and a half years.
Twenty-five years old
with a house of her own.
Did she forget to have a
Childhood?
her blue-eyed angel
brought into a world
full of War.
Constant worrying about his future.
Unfathomable what-if's.
This ten year relationship
where she's the man of the house
and the
Woman.
House chores.
Bills.
The one who should
be the man
is never happy.
Sex.
Never enough.
Never different enough.
Never good enough.
Isn't she successful enough?
Her house, her job, her goals,
her blue-eyed angel?
Her clever wit,
her independence?
Hasn't she done enough
to Support
to Nourish
to Stabilize
to allow the Flowers around
her to Grow?
Now it's her turn to grow.
College draws near:
A nursing degree
like her Mother.
And now he wants to leave.
Sex isn't good enough.
Is she going to get her
chance to bloom?
Used.
Maybe she's too nice.
What will happen to
the blue-eyed angel
when she's killed again?
