Tears in my room

Tears in my room.

I lock my door to keep you from seeing me.

You seeing my tears is my worst fear.

You have a light in you.

But, I'm so very dark.

I'm a selfish monster.

To keep an angel like you so close to evil.

The tears in my room are my doing.

If you were to see my tears it would be my undoin.

I'm sorry I can't seem to be strong enough to stand in front of you for too long.

My knees buckle and my hands hit the ground to keep me from falling on my face.

I've wanted to die for so long.

But, I'm a coward.

I use you as an excuse to stay.

Please, don't open the door.

I crawl to the door and sit there to make sure you don't come in.

I hide my face in my arms to muffle the cries I can't control.

Please, don't come too close.

Why you haven't given up on me yet is a mystery to me.

If you open that door a flood will occur.

For there are so many tears in my room.

It could drowned you.
