Heart/Hole

When you left, self destructive habits ensued

Not because I hate myself, but because I loved you.

When you left, I tore open my chest

Broke my sternum from my ribs, and cried in distress

Plucked my heartstrings, and made a violin, as I bled

Leaving a puddle of love on the floor, the deepest color of red

I began to play, filling the room with silence

Memories haunt me, as I lean into their caress

A blackhole begins to form, my soul has long since left

My heart, my whole, I wish you only the best
