Edinburgh, My Home

Date Written: September 16, 2017

Orange glow, cobbled streets
Black cabs, modern trams
Old tenements, art deco
The castle, giant rock.

Beloved follies, Calton Hill
Watering holes, art galleries
Steep closes, the “Gardens”
Coffee shops, sushi bars.

Surgeon’s Hall, Festival Theater
New Town, Old Town
Vibrant Leith, quiet suburbs
Uni students, city suits.

“Auld Reekie"
“Dunedin”
“Modern Athens”
“Embra”.

It’s home — to me
It could be — to you.
