Years

Oh, how the years pass by
Fast as light over the tinted blue sky
People have changed and gained more acclaim
Yet I lay here, unmoved
Why can't I be like them? Oh shame!

As the stars die, streams of tears and blood I cry
As the earth nears its end
In its story we have become or own villains

But all have a purpose
All have their time
Someday, somehow your life will begin to rhyme
And, one day, you'll rise with a new song on your lips
Out in a horizon of glass, sails a ship
calling you home
