Tick Tock

The clock ticks continuously in the back of my mind
    Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
It clicks each second away without fail.
     Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Sometimes quietly. Sometimes it blares.
      Tick,tock. Tick,tock.
Its a countdown that most can ignore.
      Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Why can't I? The ticking is deafening.
      Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
I hear its echo rattling through my being.
     Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Make it stop. Let me be at peace.
     Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Each tick constantly reminding me it will end.
      Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Why wait? Just make it stop now.
      Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Smash the glass. Tear off the hands. Let it end.
      Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
It didn't stop. Why does it continue? Make it stop!
      Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

“echoes rattling through my being” Is it very unpleasant to live. Courage that matters, very impressive lines
