The Crab

Date Written: October 17, 2017

You have no idea

What reckless child lives on

In this shell of a man.

A shell to thick

From paterns that stick.

But shells do crack

And crabs crawl back

Into the shinning sea

To find darkness and solitide

Under the coral reefs.

Pray it be a lonely day.

Pray it be a lonely day

For he owes a debt to the fisherman.

I'm gonna burn bright

So tell me when you want some shade.

I'll always be there for you

To talk about what scares you

Of how it scares me too.

Though the signs rarely seep through.

I don't know what to do

When all I am is you.

You had me hypnotized

From your disguise

Of a Truth so precious

It hides

From any and all seeing eye

In the treasure chest

Of your heart's desire.
