Poems »

I grew up in a small town as a coal miners daughter, with an honest, humble mother and two sisters. At a young age, I was shy. I wrote a few poems that I kept to myself. As an adult, I've been blessed and raised two wonderful children and we are still raising our third child. I went back and finished college later and became a Registered Nurse, with the encouragement and support from a good man that came into my life. I am also blessed with two precious grandbabies. Recently these poems I wrote as a teen resurfaced, while moving. I found humor in this one, definitely over exaggerated. Many years later but I wanted to share. This picture is me as a teen around the time I wrote this poem.
