Heather N Maldonado

Heather Maldonado was born on September 18, 1980, in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up being bullied throughout her school aged years she heavily leaned on pouring her heart out on paper. She started writing poems around her middle school aged years, into high school in which she took some poetry and writing classes although she didn’t know at the time (since childhood) she struggled with anxiety and ADHD. Although hesitant she participated in class and received positive recognition for her poems. She continued to write during high school, while moving to another city and then through “teen relationships” some of which took a toll on her emotions. A short time later around the age of 18 she gave birth to her first child. Still she gave her all into writing. She than attended tech school for Business administration. Graduated with deans list and honor roll all while she was pregnant with her second child and about to get married. Little did she know this person she was marrying would put her down, belittle and abuse her and her/their children. Once again that didn’t stop her from her passion of writing and changing the lives for the better for her and her 2 children. She got divorced, found the Lord through her tech school teacher and some years later met her current husband in 2006 ironically meeting on “MySpace” of all platforms. They got married in 2007, had their first child. Than shortly after moved to Pennsylvania. They continued their spiritual journey and ministry work together. She began doing work in women’s ministry at a few churches which was another passion of hers. Than began writing inspirational-devotional emails which later down the line became a “Facebook page”. With many events of trauma (abuse, ptsd, anxiety, depression & ADHD) she had a lot to say. Although she took breaks here and there especially during those losses and financial struggles she can now say once she received her diagnosis’s she was able to be more productive with the help of therapy and medication, her family, emotional support-therapy dogs and God of course!
