Whispers of hope amidst oppressive darkness

Whispers of hope amidst oppressive darkness

All alone, with no one to help or share,
She lived a lonely life,
In a world too busy to care.

No ray of hope in sight,
She lost herself in the unconcerned crowd.
Her will had died,
And her...

House of silence,
Not a word spoken.

This poem is very well thought of, structured and well written. The poet starts with a dark tone of despair and ends it on a hopeful positive note. It resonates very well with me - what I live though and feel each day. The use of simple English language and clear punctuations make it very effective and impactful. It is very similar to the theme of my poem entry and hence I can relate to it really very well. Having lived through rough periods myself, I can understand what the poet feels and is trying to say.
Good luck!
