That which meant to bury me raised me up as the story of the donkey who fell down a hole personifies.
We grieve more than we know and sometimes get hung up. The best thing to do is to flow. So just as the wreath of flowers gets caught on the branches that overhang the river so do we sometimes need to dwell in the shallows and let the water lap over us until we are freed to flow down stream to the ocean once more. Thankyou for your creativity and words. I am blessed.more »
Brings to mind the protestant prayer by George wheler 1698:
Here I lay me down to sleep. To thee, O Lord, I give my Soul to keep, Wake I ever, Or, Wake I never; To thee O Lord, I give my Soul to keep for ever. Or an alternate version by grace bridges 1932
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my lord my soul to keep, In the morn when I awake Please teach me the path of life to take.
When life gets tough we often look for inspiration in others or a higher entity though ultimately it is on ourselves we have to rely to keep us going and live. I hope we all find the strength and courage to follow our path and for our will to live never be broken. For whilst brokenness can be beautiful it is so sad to see happen. The human spirit is an amazing awesome thing.
