Analysis of Diciembre

Crece el tiempo de iluminar la casa
con las pocas luces de la inocencia,
y el mágico mes termina rendido
al calendario del fervor oscuro.

Otras promesas yacen, impacientes,
como el tímido tallo de las uvas,
sin inquietar el año que reniega
del andar de la palabra sonora.

Como se puede, tanto se comienza
que el fatigado impulso de la noche
ayuna en la mañana, y el empeño

que de comienzo aparentaba claro,
retuerce el plano y al final concede
el vago laberinto de otra vida.
