Nat King Cole-silky smooth and always melodiously mellow, never has there ever been nor will there ever be, a more talented, elegant fellow
Frank Sinatra-in his prime supreme cool phrasing, would always set the mood, refined at times, so fragile with age and sometimes deliciously crude
Ella Fitzgerald-pure golden perfection, scatting Queen never mean nor obscene, each note a diamond in your ear from this majestic songstress supreme
Sarah Vaughn-would bend and play with a note, from deep robust ones to operatic flair, caressed a song and ripped your soul and made you truly care
Peggy Lee-calm, cool, icy, spicy elegance, whispery at times, always on target always hypnotic and of course forever sublime
Nancy Wilson-vibrato not always needed to rip a song to its core, every well placed note for this songstress, knocked me to the floor
Dame Shirley Bassey-POWER, power, power and drama in each note, would tickle all my goose bumps and put a lump right in my throat
Doris Day-sweetness in every perfect note and sweetness she gave to me, as hard as life might be that day, sweet Doris brought revelry
Billie Holliday-life’s injustices and misery heard in her broken and teary voice, when seeking out pure quality, dear Billie is still my choice
Louis Armstrong-the master of gravelly greatness and scatting pure supreme, man when Louis Armstrong sang, it put me in a dream

I know I haven’t honored them all
Feel free to enhance the list
For music is a private thing
I know there are many I’ve missed
Music is very personal
My singers may not be your choice
So honor your own melodious legends
And in their music always rejoice!
