Analysis of Abandoned love
Uma Maheshwari R 1993 (Secunderabad)
She sits on the couch waiting for him all day,
Thinking of all those times filled with love, devotion and gay
He walks in home late at dawn, citing his proclivity to save lives,
But what about her,
She whose heart burns with desire.
On the coldest nights
She looks for his warm glow
Among the burning cinder.,
Her heart wants to be lit up as the unsympathetic winds blow
Like the daylights of winter.
The physical ache, the emotional pain
To have loved and keep loving someone who is so cold and distant,
There’s nothing worse
It feels like an everlasting curse.
It can’t be replaced
It can’t be rewound.
She still chooses to wait on the couch
And smiles thinking how he’s an immortal
Who shall live in her heart as a lover
