Analysis of Autumn Musings
When the gold leaf fell,
my eyes feasted on its richness -
a leaf waltzing down
to earth
becoming a part of its mosaic.
When the rains swirled
with the wind swishing by,
my wet eyes
watered the river,
becoming a part of its flow.
The gold and the umber
that carpet my life,
the river that runs through me
give me the feeling -
in every breath autumn is in me
Can I sail through life
with regal ease,
to arrive at winter's door
with slow grace?
The days of my life swirling
to the ground
like the rich gold autumn leaves
Soil, wet with the rains
A promise of green
