Analysis of Struggle
My life is ebbing slowly away,
I cannot stop the hurt,
Ibuprofen can only heal so much pain,
And even though it’s a pain reliever,
It’s not strong enough
To heal this pain inside.
I’m trying to hang on
And stay strong,
But it’s so hard
To get up
And keep going
When life is there
To push me to the ground.
What am I doing here?
Why am I even here?
I ask as I look at the
Temptations that I stare in the eye,
Deciding my life from now on,
Invisible forces
Keep me on my feet
And drag me through this tough life,
Unwilling to let me die that easily,
But I’m struggling
To keep my head
Above the treacherous waters
That swirl around me
And threaten to drag me underwater.
But how can I fight this pain,
How can I stay alive
When I don’t even feel alive?
