Analysis of The Dedication at The Temple
Joseph and Mary, brought their child Jesus to the temple as a little boy so he could be raised in the knowledge of Jewish practices and customs, and learn the teachings of the law. This was exactly what my parents did when they had me baptized in the Catholic church. They were imitating that holy couple and what they did so that their son Jesus could grow up to be a holy man.
Not that he needed to.
But it was something I think back to as whether my participation in my church was what I thought of it earlier.
