Analysis of Blessed be
Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)
Blessed be
Blessed be
Pouring with heavens so heavenly
Like petals from the grandest tree
For signs to follow happily
And when I wake from solemnity
Be sure I hear you thanking me
100 offerings at your roots
To walk their path with stronger boots
And if they heard a similar truth
Would they sing as beautifully as your youth
And if that time was always still
Would they pray forever at their will
Blessed be
Blessed be
Pour your good blessings down on me
I worship you and adore too
Who love me more than my adieu
If when I to the heavens make
Would they correct every mistake
Like sunshine on the sweetest face
While picnicking in a sacred place
And raising their wings for thy grace
Like the Y the who the where the trace
And mind be filled with imagery
So kind intentions follow thee
Blessed be
Blessed be
I hear you hum eloquently
Echoing from your ear to me
So every mind can surely see
The love you shine between you to me
Singing until it makes them see
That only you can set them free
You taught the world how to pray
Forgiving ourselves every day
Facing our own selfish ways
Like walking through the winters hays
And let the outcome of love be
A light from heaven shon on every one.
