Analysis of Power and Wisdom
The Word of the Cross is folly,
To those who might be perishing;
But to us who would be holy,
Within Jesus Christ are cherishing.
For it is the power of God,
Destroys the wisdom of the wise;
Since they do not revere to laud,
Discerning to thwart sight from eyes.
Where are the wise ones and the scribe?
Of the debater of this age;
Foolish wisdom not to abide,
Evil lifestyle is the rage.
For since in the wisdom of God,
The world did not know the Lord;
The folly that we preach is flawed,
Disbelief makes it be ignored.
For Jews demand to see signs,
And the Greeks are seeking wisdom;
They cannot read between the lines,
For access unto His Kingdom.
But we preach of Christ crucified,
Which is a stumbling block for Jews;
And Gentiles have criticized,
That is foolishness to pay dues.
But those who are both Jew and Greek,
Christ is the wisdom and power;
And they have the knowledge to seek,
For the blessings that will shower.
The folly of God is wiser,
Than the wisest of any man;
While God is never weaker,
Than massive strength of any clan.
