Analysis of If I Follow
If I Follow
If I follow you, will you remember me,
when the road starts to curve and there’s nothing left to see?
If I loved you, would you burry me,
after you and I have run our course and there’s nothing left of we?
If I surrender to your touch, will you hold me tight,
or sneak away guiltless and flee like a thief in the dark of the night?
If I were drowning in the pools of your eyes, would you hasten to my rescue,
or slowly absorb what’s left of me into all of you?
