Analysis of Remaining with God
Let what you heard from the start,
So that you abide in the Son;
Let it abide in your heart,
What He righteously has done.
Eternal life is promised,
That He had made unto us;
For the Father the truest,
Everlastingly as thus.
I write these things unto you,
Of those who try to deceive;
To lure what is not true,
Seducing what to believe.
The anointing you receive,
Needs not another to teach;
For if you firmly believe,
Deception will never reach.
The truth as you had been taught,
No lie is ever within;
What the blood of Christ has bought,
It is cleansing you of sin.
Have sureness when He appears,
Confidence that will not shrink;
Having no shame in your fears,
And only righteously think.
If you know He is righteous,
Of Him, you shall then be born;
And you righteously practice,
While on earth to sojourn.
