Analysis of Stolen

You stole my heart.
Took it to uncharted destinations.
Wrapped it up in a web of lies;
So thick, reality was erratically disproportionate.
I’ve been stuck here in such a jaded place.
The walls are closing in and you’re nowhere near.
You left me stranded with a love I knew nothing about.
The stitches you’ve sown, jagged and messy.
I’ve been bleeding out since the day we met.
The words you spoke, play on repeat.
Words that just about ruined me.
You stole my heart.
Stole the part of me that I held onto so dearly.
The road behind me now blocked off by past mistakes.
If I met you in the afterlife,
Would things be so different?
Is there a chance we could make amends or move on and forget?
You buried the hatchet inside my chest;
Yet that was never enough for you.
Blindsided by the “what could have beens”.
I saw only you,
When I should’ve been mending my own wounds.
You stole my heart
And there’s no replacing that.
