Analysis of 2024 lament

Oh! Dear lord what is happening today?
For the first time in years I've knelt to pray.
Why has the sky gone suddenly dark.?
Everything so still, not a sound hark!
Oh! Lord my children are still in school
I know I'm a sinner, I've broken the rules.
Please let me try to make ammends
For today I know the world will end.
Now the sky, has gone vivid red
In two or three hours we'll all be dead
The grass is now brown, our homes tremble.
In fear and horror, people assemble
The heat is terrible, we can't stand much more.
Oh dear god, why did you choose 2024
Perhaps you will answer when it's all oe'r
When the vast crowds of humanity enters your door
You answered my prayers, my family are here.
We are all grouped together shaking with fear.
God won't you give the world another chance?
Let us once more, laugh, sing and dance.
With no more wars, and no more hate,
Make your world one big state.
We've learned our lessons, hear our plea
Look at the disbelievers on bended knee.
