Analysis of Silent Lessons

It's 12:15 and I can't sleep, man this pain it runs so deep.
Too much to handle so hard to deal, with the thoughts in my mind it seems unreal.
The struggle between the real and the fake, never knowing if the choices we make, are leading us down the path we should take.
I lay awake and wonder about all the "what if's", and all I know is this..
Silence is often the loudest noise heard,
You can break a person and not say a word.
Time is not promised, and often it is missed
The past is behind us, and the future a gift.
Often I wonder am I doing the right thing,
For now I wait to see what these decisions will bring.
Too many times I've been let down, when you expect nothing there's no reason to frown.
Lessons learned and promises broken, life is a game with no rules spoken.
