Analysis of Over the Hills and Over the Plain (Revised)

Over the Hills and over the Plain A

I remember the times of being free, b
My wee back legs would carry me, b
Over the hills and over the plain, A
Oh, I wish I could have those times again. a

For my wee back legs, they went downhill, c
And oh it was such a bitter pill, c
Over the hills and over the plain, A
Would I ever walk again? a

Pram rides with mummy were such a joy, d
I really am her special boy, d
Yet over the hills and over the plain, a
I still wanted to walk again. a

Now I am happy, joyful and free, b
Because the Lord looks after me, b
Over the hills and over the plain, A
Free once more to walk again. A

Free once more to walk again. A

Free once more to run again. a
