Analysis of Guilt and regret
There have been things that have happened I wish I could change.
Things that have been done I wish I could take back.
What more could I have done but make one mistake after another?
Even the years that have passed I still keep the guilt inside.
Thinking of all the things that have gone wrong and that I can't get out of my head.
If I could go back and fix all the things that I have done I I would do it in a heartbeat.
Without even a question I would go back and fix it all and give you a better life.
I don't know how much longer I can go on with the guilt that always seem to haunt me everywhere I go.
The guilt of always seeing that I may be doing the wrong thing or that I was never smart enough to realize what I had done.
Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better if I just disappeared long ago and just stayed alone forever.
Then I wouldn't have to live with the guilt of always reliving the mistakes that run deep through my mind.
I hope one day you can forgive me and come to know that I was scared and didn't know what I was doing half the time.
But I have been trying everyday to make it up to you for all the mistakes and the things that I had done wrong.
Just know that I live with the pain and the regret that I could have been better for you everyday.
The guilt will always haunt me to the very end so I hope you can forgive me because I will be forever sorry.
