Glacial Wings

The mammoth was frozen solid
As a bollard.
Its feet melting on the shattered glacier
A bead of ice water hit a clear spear
Submersing it then another and yet more sticking it to mother earths cruelest floor.
What's more but to wait for the thaw
Without a blemish, a beat, a core
Flawless, others adored the frosted wings
Patterning the sides of this mighty time
Capsule.
