Looking Straight Down

I'm standing on the edge
And looking Straight Down
Half of me smiling
While the other half frowns

I say I'll keep going
But ask myself why
It would be so much easier
To let myself fly

Jump off of the edge
And let myself fall
Right to the end
The end of it all

You presume to know me
But what do you know
Just pieces of me
I let myself show

No one REALLY knows me
Only one ever did
The ONE person I trusted
Gone,  Buried,  Dead

I like nothing of myself
Not one single detail
Self hate and loathing
Masked by a veil

If you truly saw me
I doubt you would stay
If you truly could see me
You'd run fast away

I'm ugly to the core
Broken from within
I pretend I'm okay
Inside my own skin

But looking in the mirror
I hate all that I see
There's no room in this world
For someone like me

Don't say that you love me
It can't possibly be
I cannot be loved
If "I" don't love me

Please don't think you can fix me
Make everything alright
I'm resigned to the truth
So no reason to fight

I should just end it
If only I could
But I'm a coward a loser
I'm simply no good

I'm standing on the edge
Looking Straight Down.......
