Efforts To Endeavor

Is it impossible to believe,
There are places these days...
That still exist.
In which people are given,
Freedoms with entitlements...
To do as they please,
In a variety of diversified activities.
And patiently instructed,
Like children learning...
How to cross the street to do this done,
Successfully.

And yet...
Without fail to leave bowed heads,
Lowered in regret.
Those who teach what it takes to succeed,
Are often met with opposition.
Coming from those envious.
Towards the ones instructing.

'Listen...
It takes effort to endeavor,
To create for others opportunities.
YOU may wait too late to realize,
Opportunities very seldom...
Drop down from the sky.
However...
Where do you think,
They are created to make and come from?
The Wizard of Oz?'

'Dont be silly.
Everybody knows,
They are already there.
For me to choose, pick and select,
Which one better fits...
My choice to make.'

'Oh?
So...
Who do you believe,
Created...
With effort to endeavor,
That selected choice you make?'

'I don't know.'

'Let's start with the teacher.
Then...
Let's add you into the mix.'

'Okay.'

'Then...
Let's say you become inspired.
Motivated by a dream to see come true.
Providing an incentive to someone else.
Wanting to do what you've done to do.
With a growing of beautiful flowers.
On a once empty field.
To begin to bloom,
From your effort to endeavor...
Something you never thought,
Would develop and provide...
Opportunities for others.
Just think...
Your one seed to plant did all of that!'

'And...
Suppose I happen to be,
Allergic to flowers, pollen...
Grass and stuff like that?'

'I don't believe this.
And they wonder why teachers,
Become alcoholics.
Listen...
You can plant whatever seed you like.
But first you must understand,
Success to achieve creates opportunities.'

'You know?
You are right.
I could plant seeds to grow flowers.
Become a doctor.
And then sell them only to people,
Who have allergies.
And become rich!'

'I remember,
It seems just a few years ago.
Before the internet became a way of life.
So easy it was to communicate,
And teach students...
How easy it was to use their minds.'

'Who are you talking to?'

'Myself.'

'Looking out of the window?
Standing on a chair?
As if...'

'No.
I'm not thinking of jumping.
Just praying.'

'Praying?
Praying for what?'

'God to forgive me.
For not taking that accountant job.
To think teaching would be better.'

'Better?
Better than what?
Attempting to reach,
The minds of children.
Now...
I am committed to this addiction.
For the rest of my life.'

'Should I take the credit for that or not?'

'Credit?
Credit for what?'

'Proving you with the incentive!
I know you're going to give me,
Some credit for it.
