The girl you once knew

The girl you once knew
Would kiss your cheek
The girl you once knew
Would say "I love you"
The girl you once knew
Would follow you anywhere
But now she leaves you alone
Scared at home
Before the accident happened
The girl you once knew
Would tell you her problems and stress
Vent to you and apologize for it
Cause the girl you once knew
Cuts her arms
And crys in the dark
The girl you once knew
Had confidence in her beautiful green eyes
But know there black and paralyzed
Scared to show her feelings
The words of a poem
Make my heart sigh
With your cheeks turning rosy red
And her lips
You wanted to kiss
Slowly turns to ash
As your memory's turn to a flat line
Oh yeah that's right
She died that night
Remembering all that happened
All the memory's comes flooding back in
Her on the hospital bed
With wires and a neck brase
Oh how I wish it was me
Not her
As she breaths her last breathe
The flat lines scream
As the nurses and doctors coming running in
I froze
And 3 nurses tried to tell me
To wait outside
But I tell them no
I need her
I say with tears running down my face
The security guard got involved
And through me out
I broke down after that
Cause the girl I once knew
Was no more
My heart broke after my head
Slowly turning depressed
They took me in
The men in red
Or so I thought
Cause I was a mess
Because the girl I once knew
Fell apart
And it broke me to
They told me to get a grip
They said go back to reality
But that hurt even more
Deep inside of me
I wasn't healthy anymore
I stop eating
And stop sleeping
Maybe just maybe
I could see her again
Running to her
Hold her in my arms
I'd say "I love you"
Now you can see
As my grave is by hers
And my newborn baby
We were a family again
Before you heard
The flat line scream
Then the girl I once knew
Said she loved me too
