Christ Our Advocate
I am writing these things,
So that you may not sin;
But an advocate brings,
The means to purge within.
Jesus Christ the righteous,
The propitiation;
Brings the world to justice,
And giving salvation.
And hereby we do know,
If we keep commandments;
We spiritually grow,
Reducing the ailments.
If you know, but not keep,
A liar without truth;
Just like a wayward sheep,
Being rude and uncouth.
Whoever keeps His Word,
You truly do love God;
Believing what you heard,
If you honor and laud.
For by this we may know,
As we abide in Christ;
And in Him that we show,
That He was sacrificed.
If they say they abide,
Ought to walk the same way;
Having Christ as their guide,
Never to go astray.
