Sleeper Cells

Perhaps this is how the Karma Grenades pull their pins.
Kindness, gagged, alarmed
   Next to
That mind-Contagion
Called "Fear."

Perhaps this is our just desserts,
   All these
Screens
as sharp as broken glass.
And with all those strangers
Yelling at us in our hands,
Who pulled what pin, we'll never Ask.
      But,
We are not, as we were before
Never has Power been so weak.
     Never before has Dreaming
Been so terrifying,
   As the Masks we chose
To cover the sound of
    Cells warring with
    Nightmares to conquer
        Love's Retreat.
