Her
Beautiful Eyes
A pretty face
Multiple tries
At sketching I fail
See, you seem on simple
so simply elegant
But as I try
Something eludes me
It is your idiosyncrasies
That leave me so puzzled
It is your idiosyncrasies
that have this heart so muzzled
Before I met yo
This heart was fading sand
Wave after wave
It would reshape at the bank
Like a ship lost at sea,
it wandered around
so irregular, so uncertain
so nervous, so burdensome
A weight it carried
One I can't define
It kept me oblivious to its occurrence
and everything else around
Maybe it was loneliness
Something I couldn't help
But a hole existed there
One I couldn't comprehend
The day I laid my eyes on you
My heart got lighter
As it had begun floating
As if the ship had begun to charter
Yes it is true
You commandeered my heart whole
You lightened the weight bit by bit
and showered light through o the very core
The world around isn't so arbitrary
Anymore, my mind isn't confused
You scraped a broken soul,
and helped this poor man find salvation
When he thought he was broken beyond hope
