Dali’s Poem
They say a picture is worth a thousand words
I don’t believe that is true
For a picture to describe you,
A thousand words simply won’t do.
Seeing your smile and life in your eyes,
The way you press forward and pass me by,
The touch of your hand and whisper of your voice,
You are my one and only choice.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers
Yet I’m an idiot who is filled with despair,
I love you yet I still accused,
I was scared of truly losing you.
I set you free out of anger and sadness,
And always want to be your true happiness.
I missed my mark and cry each night,
Wishing it were me who was holding you tight.
It hurts me so much because I messed up so bad,
I no longer can smile, just only feel sad.
The best part of my world is now gone,
If I had only known that I was so wrong
I wish I could take back those terrible words I said,
But sadly now our relationship is dead.
I hate how I feel but know that I love you,
I’m hoping that maybe you can say it too.
I want you back with every breath that I take,
You are the moon, the stars, everything to me,
I’m praying and hoping that you truly see
That without you, I can’t really be me.
