Face the Real World

Furtively, quickly
My mind tick tacks, frolics
With vignettes of yesterday
Infatuations, love encounters
After the duty list of morning
I search for time
Private time, loving time
Space, protected in a cocoon
With you
If only for a moment
To be complete
To feel my body
Communicate with your spirit
And like electric waves
Surging within me
Reach out
To the unreachable
Until it is time
To hatch, crawl out, away from you
To live I must face the real world.
