Representing Innuendos

Anyone who will lie,
Deceive and cheat.
Is hardly the one in a position,
To pass judgement and critique.
Someone else's integrity.
With this doing to expect,
A freedom from scrutiny.

'Uh...
This person you are heard to criticize.
And publicly to verbalize it.
I have been told years ago,
Has made no attempt to hide.
Or keep what they have done hidden.
Yet you find this important to mention.
And, in fact,
Revealed to have what they did...
To discover exposed in detail.
As if to give professional gossipers,
Ammunition to use before...
Alleged innuendos began.
Incomplete of available evidence!
Why do you think,
Someone discreet...
Would put that in small town streets?'

'For attention to get.'

'And obviously from you,
Dependable publicity too, right?'

'Well...I...'

'And you know what else,
Just dawned on me?
As to what the real mystery is?'

'No.
Tell me.'

'That person you speak of,
Neither sought to seek popularity.
Nor suggested a desire,
To hold a political office.
Or heard to have that wish.'

'Maybe...
I should have kept my mouth closed.'

'Too late for that.
However...
What has been exposed.
Is your lieing to deceive and cheat,
Your way through life.
And with it done to now have you,
Looked upon...
As one who will abuse to use anyone.
To prevent yourself,
From being scrutinized.
Congratulations!'

'Congratulations?
For what?'

'You have got to have premeditated plans,
Of becoming...
One of those wholesome,
Blemish free and faultless...
Political candidates!'

'How did you know that?'

'From rumors to hear,
You are seeking a campaign manager!'

'I have of yet decided what I should do.'

'You should run.
Who knows?
There are few candidates,
Still around who have your abilities.
And qualifications.
To be successful at it.
Leaving you in a rare position,
As one who is capable to assume...
Smearing anyone to do that done,
Gives the people left with no reason...
To support and endorse you!'

'You think so?
I did not expect this kind,
Of refreshing encouragement.'

'Today?
As things are?
Expect it.
I know you will be successful.
You were born to be a politician.
Ooze you do with capability.
And people love to have themselves,
Represented.'
