A Woman
A woman gave life
Cried at the harshness life showed her
Laughed at the happiness life gave her
Life was ruthless
People were heartless
The woman cracked
And cracked again
But refused to shatter
She smiled instead
A relentless and fierce soul she was
For her most precious treasure
A heart was melted into steel
Tears that once flowed freely
Now swallowed by pride
Pain was disguised by a smile
Sometimes as drowsiness
She smiled
And smiled once again
Life was ruthless
People were heartless
But she still smiled
A beautiful woman
A virtuous daughter
A loving sister
A reliable friend
An exceptional mother
My admirable mother.
