On Gun Control

I do not have a heart of stone.
Massacres and school shootings  
I don’t condone.

Seeing children murdered
breaks my heart.
It tears my world apart.

I have cousins close to their age.
Knowing someone one
would do this does give me rage.

But I can only blame the shooter
I can’t blame the gun.
Banning them will help none.

Not everyone will comply with the ban,
I’m not trying to be mean,
I just want you to understand.

The condition of the mind, heart, and soul
will not be solved by gun control.
