Will you be here or will you be gone?

Today as the sun rose,
as I gently stretched my toes
and straightened out my clothes
I turned my eyes towards the heavens
and wondered if
I was still your rose
someone who awaits you
with dancing prose
who waits for you
heaven knows
to hold me
and kiss the raindrops
off my nose
now as I await a new dawn
I wonder yet again
if you will be
here and gone
will i have to let you go
and discard my feelings
like rummage on a lawn
the pros and the cons
I'm vulnerable as a faun
will you be here
or will you be gone?
