captivated by his emerald eyes

the emerald eyes pierce the fragile skin
and of only the injured who may seem
although harmless to me, she let him in

and with the rise of this years fresh, new, kin
stitched together she was until ripped seams
the emerald eyes pierce the fragile skin

very naive she had always since been
and so he remained as the evergreen
although harmless to me, she let him in

she is held captive in what could have been
her life appeared shiny through the fake screen
the emerald eyes pierce the fragile skin

he started to commit actual sin
she couldn't see because she was a teen
although harmless to me, she let him in

she finally saw what he had within
she realized too late, she had gone unseen
the emerald eyes pierce the fragile skin
although harmless to me, she let him in
