The lonely old poet.

The lonely old poet dedicated one line of poetry to himself everyday for almost a decade, as if celebrating the birth of every new day of his life. He burnt it under candlelight as if sending himself in the poem, one step closer to God's pure holy light, under every variety of perfect sunset.

One night he was taken aback in a gasp of final angered breath and shock when a giant comet of cataclysmic size entered the earths atmosphere breaking down piece by piece and headed finally like a tiny bullet straight into his front door as he leaped like a young gazelle and hit the floor of his front deck. Why! He screamed to God. Why are you tired of my poem so soon, that you would take this poor old body itself to the firelight.

God helped the soul remove its bodies energy and said you have given me a decade of love so I remove the destruction from your light path and offer you safe passage with me to heaven.
